Melanie Sun-Wang is a Spanish-born Chinese photographer.

Born and raised in Barcelona to Chinese parents, she has always questioned her identity growing up between two completely different cultures. Images inform Melanie’s sense of identity and belonging, which is what motivates her to articulate through fashion and photography an exploration of her own hybrid cultural background.

She moved to London at 17 to pursue a career in the Arts, a period where issues around her identity re-emerged and fed into her curiosity about her heritage. Her ambition as an image maker lies upon her journey on exploring the notions of identity, hybridity and diaspora.
